Killeen Daily HeraldA 44-year-old Belton police officer was arrested Tuesday accused of threatening his Killeen neighbor with a gun Sunday.
Killeen police booked Doyle Ray Braden, 44, into the Killeen City Jail Tuesday evening. He was arrested without incident at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday after a warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin, Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.
A neighbor reported that Braden threatened her with a handgun during an argument Sunday. The woman and her husband returned inside and called police from their home in the 4300 block of Neta Drive in Killeen.
Braden was placed on administrative leave Monday by the Belton Police Department pending the results of the investigation, Smith said.
The Bell County District Attorney's Office charged Braden with aggravated assault with a firearm Tuesday.
He remained in Killeen City Jail Tuesday on a suggested bond of $100,000.
