COPPERAS COVE – The Copperas Cove Independent School District board will consider setting a cap on the number of foreign exchange students in the district at tonight's meeting.
According to the agenda, the move would be a three-year limit of six foreign exchange students in the district in order to prevent exchange students from taking up too much of a campus' resources.
The board also is set to discuss the selection of a construction manager for the new 800-student elementary school at the corner of Coy Drive and Lutheran Church Road near Farm-to-Market 116.
According to the board's agenda, proposals are due by 10 a.m. today. The district has up to 45 days to interview, evaluate and rank the proposals. The board may or may not take action on the item.
Other items for discussion include:
A resolution to participate in the 2010 Census.
Consideration and approval of the continuing education credits completed by members of the board.
Election of members of the Coryell County Appraisal District board.
Discussion of the Academic Excellence Indicator System Report.
