Cru O-line earns honor after win

BELTON – Mary Hardin-Baylor's starting offensive line was named D3football.com's Team of the Week for its part in the Cru's 48-16 win over Sul Ross State Saturday.
Harker Heights junior center Dustin Davis and teammates Max Taylor, Nate Menkin, Myke Gobert and Ryan Krause opened holes for UMHB running backs to gain 480 rushing yards and 632 yards of total offense.
The Cru (9-1) had three 100-yard rushers and six rushing touchdowns to claim a share of their fifth straight American Southwest Conference championship and seventh in the last eight years.
UMHB plays Central (IA) College (10-0) in a first-round playoff game Saturday at Pella, Iowa at noon.
