The 1st Cavalry Division wants the public's help to welcome its soldiers back to Fort Hood from Iraq. Division officials invite the public to welcome its soldiers at Fort Hood's Cooper Field. Soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team are set to arrive about 8:15 p.m. today.

Officials encourage the public to gather at Cooper Field in front of 1st Cavalry Division headquarters an hour before scheduled ceremony times.

The local community is also encouraged to welcome back troops at Victory Corner, the corner of U.S. Highway 190 and Clarke Road, 30 minutes before scheduled ceremony times.
