Help welcome 1st Cav troops home from Iraq Posted On: Tuesday, Nov. 10 2009 05:08 AM The 1st Cavalry Division wants the public's help to welcome its soldiers back to Fort Hood from Iraq. More than 200 from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team are set to arrive about 7:30 p.m. today.

Officials encourage the public to gather at Cooper Field in front of 1st Cavalry Division headquarters after 5 p.m. to avoid traffic from the day's memorial service.

The brigade's next flight is scheduled to return at 4:45 p.m. Friday.
