Shooting hero, Munley, sends note to public Posted On: Monday, Nov. 9 2009 12:59 PM Metroplex Hospital in Killeen has sent out the following statement on behalf of Kimberly Munley and her family.

"Kimberly Munley and family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation for all of the thoughts and concerns surrounding Kim from around the nation. They are deeply touched by the outpouring of strength, thoughts and prayers that have been sent their way. At this time, the main concern for Kim's family is her safe and rapid recovery.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the tragedy on Fort Hood. Mrs. Munley is very concerned with the well-being and safety of all involved and is hopeful that all injured will make a speedy recovery.

Kimberly underwent her second surgery this morning and is currently in good condition. "
