Harris helps 7A Mustangs down Rams

Dominique Harris scored two touchdowns Tuesday to help the Nolan 7A Mustangs defeat the Manor Rams 38-14 at Manor.
Harris plowed into the end zone for the first score of the game after Brett Williams hauled in a pass from Keondre Parker-Sheppard.
Drequan's jarring tackle and fumble recovering provided another opportunity for the Mustangs and led to a 42-yard touchdown run by Parker-Sheppard.
Linebackers Vince Lobendahn and Christian Manalang caused another fumble before the first half ended.
Jackson started the second half with a 72-yard kickoff return TD.
The Mustangs to the ball right back when Vince Lobendahn picked off a Manor pass.
The Mustangs pushed the ball down the field again with strong runs by Harris and Garrett Hall. Then Michael Eveans took the pigskin from Hall on a reverse and scampered 12 yards for a touchdown. Lobendahn added the 2-point conversion.
Harris capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 34-yard run. Hall added the extra points.
Other offensive standouts for Nolan (6-2, 3-1 division) were Collin Ryan, Juan Lozada, Marcus Godwin, David McCants and Roelandoe Caldwell.
Alvin Amos, Dominick Eisenhaur, David Crigler, Ty Martos, Shayne Holiskey, Chris Mathis, Chris McKiver, Chris Barber, and
Reggie Blash were defensive standouts.
Elias Negron and Darren Holt also made valuable contributions to the victory.
Union Grove 8A 35, Rancier 8A 0 – At Rancier, the Grizzlies jumped to an early lead and capped a perfect regular season and won the AFC Division.
Offensive standouts for Union Grove (8-0, 5-0 AFC) were Josh Delaney, Marcus Anderson, Tony Barnes, Damaria Moon, Tre Edwards and Austin Roden.
Defensive standouts were Teron Davis, Devlin Smith, Quahary Bobbitt, Wilson Owens, Tyrone Bonhomme, Joseph Alaniz, Garrett Gaskamp, and Matthew Sluss.
It was the second straight undefeated season for the Grizzlies, who will face the NFC winner for the eighth-grade championship.
Eastern Hills 8A 8, Palo Alto 8A
0 – The Panthers broke a scoreless tie in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from Trent Jones to Josh Hooks. Dyeon Foster added the 2-point conversion.
Eastern Hills finished the season with a 6-1 record.
Neither team was able to mount a threat until Jones and Hicks hooked up for a 25-yard gain on third-and-2.
Defensive standouts for the Panthers, who recorded their fifth shutout, were Jordan Oliver, Marcus Dewberry and
Feron Fleming.
Palo Alto 7B 20, Eastern Hills 7B 0 – Quarterback Caleb Kidwell scored on a 30-yard run and added a 2-point conversion as the Patriots (6-2)
won their season finale.
Fullback Brandyn Howard had a 10-yard TD run.
Jordan Aguon returned an interception 30 yards for the final Palo Alto touchdown.
Robert Broadhead recovered a forced fumble
Palo Alto 7A 12, Eastern Hills
7A 0 – Quarterback Broderick Reed started the Patriot scoring with a 1-yard touchdown dive and fullback Stacy Carter added the final touchdown run from 20 yards out as the Patriots won their season finale.
Le'Trae Gant (sack), Alex Bartz (sack and recovered a fumble), Shannon Bogues (interception)and Shakur Martin (blocked
punt) were defensive standouts for Palo Alto (5-2-1).
Union Grove 7A def. Rancier 7A – The Grizzlies (8-0, 5-0 AFC Division) completed an undefeated season for the second year in a row.
The Grizzlies will play NFC Division winner Smith for the seventh-grade championship at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Leo Buckley Stadium.
Patterson 7B 16, Smith 7B 0 – The defeated Leopards were on the verge of scoring twice but could not get into the end zone.
Defensive standouts for Smith were Samuel Dominguez and Tyler Lindeman. Brendan Graves and Juan Olvera were offensive standouts.
Smith 7A 6, Patterson 7A 6, tie
– A tie was good enough for the Leopards to take the NFC Division title and earn a spot in the seventh-grade championship game.
Smith's only score came Dunladi Young, who recovered a Patterson fumble and ran it back 85 yards for a touchdown in the first half.
Patterson answered in the second half with a game-tying touchdown on a double reverse.
Corey Smith was another defensive standout for Smith. Fullback Ishmael Price was an offensive standout.
Middle School Volleyball
Union Grove 7B def. Rancier 7B 25-18, 25-20 – Anna Hebert served 10 points and the Grizzlies finished the season with a victory.
Other scorers for Union Grove (6-2, 3-2 division) were Talis Houston (seven points), Marianna Warren (three), Miciah Reddell (two) and Rachel Brown and Leslie Chaffin (one each).
Union Grove 7A def. Rancier 7A 25-22, 30-29 – Alana Dickerson served nine points for the winning Grizzlies.
Other scorers for Union Grove (4-4, 3-2 division) were Gillian Pons and Candyce Williams (five points each), Jazmine Buggs (four), Katelyn Jenkins (three) and Natasha St. Hilaire, Marisol Wuilleumier and Cathy Reniker (one each).
The Grizzly White Team invites everyone to come see them play in the district tournament this weekend at Killeen High School.
Union Grove 8B def. Rancier 8B 25-17, 25-12 – At Union Grove, Kathleen Janda served 15 points and two aces to lead the Grizzlies to a victory.
The win clinched the division championship for the Union Grove (7-1, 4-1 division).
Other scorers for the Grizzlies were Jackie Santiago (five points),
Mylesia Harrell and Xanthe Gentry (three each), Tatyana Bowers, JilliAnn Jacko and Mone't Bennett
(two each) and Amanda Bailey (one).
Other standouts were Victoria Moseley, Breanna Gelsinger and Megan Rhorick.
Union Grove 8A def. Rancier 8A 25-6, 25-17 – Tess Rudasill who served 11 points and three aces and the Grizzlies clinched a share of the division championship.
Other scorers for Union Grove (7-1, 4-1 division) were Keyauna Billups (nine points), Bianca Yerry and Madison Stanley (four each).
Kyla Menefee (three) and Joy Moton (1 ace).
Other standouts were Madison Stebbins, Chante Mitchell,
Zoey Clyde and Angela Delaney (two kills).
The Grizzlies will play in the KISD Volleyball Tournament this weekend at Killeen High School. Their first opponent will be the Manor Rams at 8:30 this morning.
Liberty Hill 7B def. Live Oak Ridge 25-17, 25-13 – Alyssa Crisostoma, Kiara Artis and Triana Mayshack each served 11 points to lead the Lady Lions to a victory.
Artis served all of her points in succession. Other scorers for Liberty Hill (6-1, 4-1 division) were Shamari Davis (nine points), Claire Brownfield (five points), Amanda Vasquez (two) and Melinda Sarabia (one point).
Liberty Hill 7A def. Live Oak Ridge 25-13, 25-20 – Kaylai Lewis served 12 points as the Lady Lions handed the Lady Lobos their first loss in division play and joined them atop the standings.
Other scorers for Liberty Hill (5-2, 4-1 division) were Miranda Tapia (10 points), Celexeia Partlow (nine), Alexis Weisheit (eight), Danielle Perdue (six), Lashayla Rider (three) and Jasonica Moore (two).
Liberty Hill 8B def. Live Oak Ridge 8B 12-25, 27-25, 15-9 – Brittney Saravia led the Lady Lions to a win in their season finale by serving six points.
Other scorers for Liberty Hill (6-2, 3-2 division) were Brianna Walker and Danielle Rivera (five points each), Taylor Arnold and Patty Kolb (two each) and Kim Hinojos and Marisa Schmidt (one each).
Live Oak Ridge 8A def. Liberty Hill 8A – Amani Dashiell served 17 points but the Lady Lions lost their first match of the season.
Other scorers for Liberty Hill (7-1, 4-1 division) were Anna Long and Lyndsee Lemacks (eight points each), Eliza Brownfield (three) and Yasmeen Moore and Bianca Malden (two each).

Knights def. Panthers 2-0 – The second-place Knights got the victory over the Panthers and advanced to the championship game behind the serving of
Layla Yerry and Kathryn Cornelius.
Lynese Gilbert and Valeria Cosme were standouts for the Panthers.
Crush def. Wildcats 2-0 – Charlene Shephard and Kiora Baker led the charge for the Crush on both sides of the ball. Elizabeth Iosefo was also noted for great play for the Crush.
The Wildcats' standouts were Kierra Capers and Destiny Holt.
5th/6th Grade
Aggies def. Elite 2-1 – Mallory Little, Jasmine Arthur and Belinda Reese led the Aggies to a victory.
Marissa Franklin led the Elite.
Shock def. Mystics 2-0 – Carmen Williams and Kiaryon Franklin-Jones were standouts for the Shock.
Jacen Moore was a standout for the Mystics.
Bears def. Comets 2-0 – Jalynn Bonner and Karla Cosme were standouts for the Bears.

3rd/4th Grade
Crush def. Knights 3-0 – The Crush finished the regular season as champions, led by Charlene Shepherd's serving and the defense of Kiora Baker.
The Knights got great play from Sydney Brock.
Panthers def. Wildcats 0 – Valeria Cosme and Shelia Borders led the charge for the Panthers.
5th/6th Grade
Aggies def. Comets 3-0 – Mallory Little, Taylor Askew and Belinda Reese were standouts for the Aggies.
Bears def. Liberty 3-0 – Jalynn Bonner and Karla Cosme helped the Bears stun the regular season champions.
Syann Iosefo was a standout for the Liberty.
