Ht: 5-9
Pos: Guard
Class: Soph.
Q: You started last season your first year in high school, what was that experience like?
A: Going into the season, I was kinda nervous at first because I was a freshman. But as the season kicked off, I was doing real good. I wasn't the only young one on the team so I was pretty confident.
Q: As one of several underclassmen starting on varsity last season, what's the feeling with almost everyone returning?
A: Now I know the aspect of playing varsity ball, and it's going to be hard. But coming back, I know where everything is, how its going to go, all my players and how they play.
Q: Like yourself, this is coach Shirretha Nelson's second year with the team. How's everything working?
A: She has us running certain plays for certain people based on how they play, and for me (the offense) is really good because I can dish the ball off, and I know where everybody is on the court.
Q: Of all the professional or college players, who would you compare yourself to?
A: I would like to compare myself to Candace (Parker). We're both tall and can play both (guard) positions.
Q; During her time at Tennessee, Candace Parker's known for her high-flying aerial attack. Can you dunk like her?
A: I can't get that high yet, but I plan on it.
Q: What's the biggest obstacle this team must overcome?
A: Teamwork. We're going to have to play as a team and get everybody involved and work harder than we did last year.
