Ht: 5-9 Pos: Forward Class: Senior
Q: How do you replace the leadership of last year's seniors?
A: I'm going to be the leader that I know how to be and I'm going to push everybody else so everybody else can step up and be a leader, too.
Q: What did the district championship mean to you?
A: It meant a lot. It was like all the hard work our coach put us through and all the running, it paid off.
Q: What was last year's playoff experience like?
A: It makes me more humble. It makes our team more humble, especially our coach. We want to go all the way this year. We're not going to settle for anything less.
Q: What is it going to take to 'go all the way'?
A: It's going to take 110 percent every game and at practice. It starts at practice.
Q: You said this team could be better than last year's regional quarterfinalist. How so?
A: Basically, everybody that is on our varsity team, we've been playing with each other since middle school, whatever, so we have that. We have that bond.
Q: What have you learned since you were a freshman playing varsity basketball?
A: Always give 100 percent. If you don't give 100 percent, you're going to regret it.
Q: How does District 25-4A compare to District 16-4A (with perennial power Waco Midway)?
A: It wasn't really easier than the last (district). I just think we wanted it more. We worked harder. That was it.
Q: What are your individual goals for your senior year?
A: Make it to state, win a state championship, have coach (get) a state championship under her belt for a long time, so make her proud. (Give) her have a state championship.
