FORT HOOD – Post officials have released the name of a soldier who died Friday.

Spc. Joshua Heath White, 29, of Bacliff, was pronounced dead of an undetermined cause at his off-post residence on Friday by Justice of the Peace Bill Cook.

The incident is under investigation.

White entered the military in August 2006 and was assigned to the III Corps, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade as an aircraft structural repairer since March 2007.

White deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from June 2008 through June 2009.

His decorations and awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon and Aviation Badge.
