Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday in connection with a weekend vandalism incident at Shoemaker High School in Killeen.
Vandals caused hundreds of dollars worth of damage to Shoemaker High School on Sunday, according to school district police.
Zachary Tye Schneider, 17, and James Matthew Gibson, 17, were arrested Tuesday by police with the Killeen Independent
School District. Police suspect the teens flooded a trainer's room, shattered almost all second-floor windows, damaged cabinets and stole items, an arrest affidavit stated.
The damage exceeded $1,500.
Police recovered a credit card receipt for Gym X at the scene. The receipt linked Schneider and Gibson to Gym X, where they had visited earlier. Surveillance footage taken of the suspects at the school matched a recording of Schneider and Gibson at Gym X, the affidavit stated.
Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke set their bonds at $75,000 each on a charge of burglary of a building.
The teens are not Shoemaker High School students.
