CTC nursing program recognizes LVN graduates

Central Texas College hosted a graduation and pinning ceremony for 31 students in the Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
The ceremony was held Friday in the Fine Arts auditorium.
The guest speaker for the event was Jennifer Middleton, RN and professor in the CTC nursing program.
Graduating with honors were Erica Cooks, Kimberly Humphreys, Angela Waggoner and Katherine Young.

The CTC Vocational Nursing Program is a two-year program requiring 70 credit hours of study. It is accredited by the National League for Accrediting Commission.
Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure as a vocational nurse.
Since opening its nursing degree program 40 years ago, CTC has expanded the program to include several degree and certificate plans including associate degree in nursing degree (registered nurse), LVN to registered nurse program, the vocational nursing certificate of completion, the nurse's aide program, the basic and intermediate emergency medical technician (EMT) programs, the EMT to nurse program and paramedic program.
