At a casual get-together on the lawn of the McNair area, a soldier fired a gun into a crowd of people, hitting one soldier in the hip. The shooter fled and witnesses at the scene called 911. "I haven't verified yet if (the shooter) was part of the party, but they were all from the same unit so they knew each other," Zielsdorf said.
