With plans to set annual goals at a retreat July 11, the American Advertising Federation installed new officers at a luncheon Tuesday at the Bell County Expo Center.

As a state AAF official, 10th District representative Mary Ann Nickolai, marketing director of Texell Federal Credit Union of Temple and Belton, swore in:

President: Randy McCauley, public relations and marketing manager of Texas A&M University-Central Texas;

First vice president: Michelle Wallace, marketing director of Fort Hood Family Housing/Actus Lend Lease;

Second vice president: Mardi Peaster, marketing and specialty leasing director for Killeen Mall;

Secretary/treasurer: Russ Nelson, senior account executive of Lamar Outdoor Advertising.

New board at large member: Sherry Hoffpauir, director of sales for Shilo Inn Suites Hotel.

The immediate past president is Terri Keese, owner and manager of Spectrum Printing.

McCauley said, "This year is going to be member-focused. Our goals will be determined at the retreat, but we are a thriving organization that exists to bring together those interested in advertising and marketing for an active exchange of ideas. We strive to provide our members with professional development, recognition and networking opportunities."

AAFCT, a local affiliate of the nationwide American Advertising Federation, has members from an area roughly from Temple to Copperas Cove. It welcomes members "who manage, buy, sell, create, produce, teach or study advertising, marketing, public relations or related fields," McCauley said.

Its mission is "building a stronger advertising community through education and networking by promoting advertising as an essential element of the Central Texas economy and culture."
