Killeen Daily HeraldBELTON — A 19-year-old Harker Heights man pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison and boot camp.
Judge Joe Carroll of the 27th District Court sentenced Maxwell Scott Perkins and suggested possible entrance into a substance abuse facility, according to court documents.
Police officers responded to a call in the area of George Wilson Road in Belton in reference to a robbery, according to the arrest affidavit. A man said Perkins tried to steal an air pistol and a crossbow from him.
The victim told officers he confronted Perkins and demanded the return of his property, according to the affidavit. Perkins then pulled a gun from behind his back and pointed it at the victim.
