Angels 7, Storm 5 – The Angels had seven different players score and also had 11 strikeouts. Valeria Cosme, Porsha Evans, Sydney Kinney, Faith Rivera, Maya Bishop, A'rezsha Love and Brianna Williams all scored for the Angels.

Bears 10, Thunder 3 – Alyson Sirmon and Elisa Castro led the Bears to victory, scoring two runs apiece.

Nufinity Franklin scored twice for the Thunder.

Lightning 9, Tribettes 2 – Klaudia Bohac and Brielle Dorsey led the Lightning with two scores apiece.

Jaylynn Swiney who both runs for the Tribettes.

Union Grove 8th-graders make history at meet

The Union Grove eighth-grade girls track team won the school's first girls district championship

of any kind at the Killeen ISD Middle School Meet on April 25 at Buckley Stadium.

The Grizzlies finished with 135 points, well ahead of Liberty Hill's 98 points and Live Oak Ridge's 89. Fairway tallied 86 points and Rancier had 81.

Union Grove athletes set or tied several school records in the meet.

Lauren Finley's 6-foot, 6-inch high jump tied the school record and was good for second place in the meet.

Ambrya Mack also tied the school record with a 5-foot high jump. She won the event.

The 400-meter relay team – Aliayah McDonald, Keyauna Wilder, Raquel Cephus and Brittany Adkins – won with a school-record time of 51.6 seconds.

The 800 relay – Wilder, Ashley Harvey, Breana Cockrell and Adkins – set a school mark in that event at 1:53.65. They were second in the meet.

Adkins also set a Union Grove record in the 100 with her winning time of 12.2.

Wilder set the 200 record with her winning time of 28.17.
