Killeen Daily HeraldQ: What would you say is the most valuable lesson you've learned in college?
A: To never take anything for granted. Treat every play like it's your last. Treat every game like it's your last because not everyone gets that chance.
Q: Is there significance to the number nine?
A: No , it's just a number I had in high school and I stuck with it.
Q: What is the best sports movie of all time?
A: "Glory Road." How it went, what those guys went through and what they pulled off at the end even though nobody believed in them.
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Gumbo
Q: What is the biggest difference between Central Texas and Oklahoma?
A: The environment. Killeen is my home. It's where I'm more comfortable, and Norman is more of a college town with all the parties. There's always something going on. Killeen is my home, my place of peace.
Q: Have you ever played yourself on a video game?
A: I have before. It's kind of weird. The game doesn't look anything like me and it's like three shades darker than what I am. It's not really me. I know it's a game. It's kind of cool though.
Q: What was your favorite class in high school?
A: Athletics.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Africa. I just want to go see what it's like. My good friend just went and said it's an experience you definitely need to experience. I definitely plan on going and going on safari and experience the whole thing there.
Q: How do you blow off steam from hitting the books and hitting the field? Or what is your favorite thing to do during your down time?
A: Just relax, go out to eat or something or see a good movie and just relax.
Q: Who was your sports hero as a child?
A: As a child I don't think it was just one. It was like all the (Dallas) Cowboys. Troy Aikman, Deion Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin – all those guys were really my sports heroes.
Q; What NFL athlete will you be star-struck with?
A: There's a bunch of them. Just being out there playing with all of those guys, but the main one would be Tom Brady.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you've received from a coach?
A: Give it your all. Go out there and give it 100 percent because someone's always waiting.
Q; What's your favorite Madden team?
A: The Cowboys.
Q; What's your favorite television show?
A: SportsCenter, that's it, that's all I watch.
Q; Outside of Norman, what was your favorite city to play in?
A: I would say my favorite city to play in was my last game in Miami for the national championship. The whole atmosphere, everything was on the line, I'd just say Miami.
