KPD searching for suspect in sandwich shop robbery

A Subway attendant and customers were robbed at gunpoint earlier today.
Killeen police responded to a robbery at the Subway in the 3300 block of East Rancier at 11:31 a.m. today. Witnesses said an armed black male walked in and demanded money from a female Subway attendant. The attendant originally thought the suspect joking until he fired a bullet into the ceiling, a KPD news release stated.
"She didn't think he was serious because of a lot of people were in the store. He shot around into the ceiling, robbed a couple of customers and ran out," KPD spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.
The suspect escaped in a tan Mercedes Benz with Texas license plate KJT-427, heading east on Rancier.
The suspect is described as a black male, 19 to 20 years old standing between 6 and 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds. He was wearing a black "do-rag", black shirt, dark colored denim jeans, short white socks and black shoes.
The suspect also had a dark scarf over his face and was wearing a black belt with rainbow skulls on it and a skull and crossbones buckle.
