Letters to the Editor
Americans should vote on health care reform options To the Editor:

I continue to hear politicians arguing over whether they are going to allow us to have a public option or not.

The latest thing is that national politicians will allow local politicians to let their state “opt out” of a public option or “opt in.” My question is who do politicians work for?

Is this about health care for politicians or is it about us, the people?

Politicians have it backwards. We the people tell politicians what we want to do, the politicians don’t tell us.

This is not about their health care because we have given them the best.

It is time we call and write politicians about this subject.

If you believe there should be a public option that anyone can join and that will allow people who cannot afford other health insurance to get it for them and their families then tell these politicians that is what you want.

It isn’t about what politicians want or what they think is best.

It is about what we want and what we think is best and if they don’t provide it they may find they will need the public option soon themselves.

We should demand this subject be put on the ballot and we all vote on it before Christmas.
