Spring Football: Trio hopes to get Knights back on winning track
HARKER HEIGHTS – On the shoulders of Chris High, Harker Heights' running game accounted for two-thirds of the Knights offense. With High suiting up in a cap and gown later this month, head coach Todd McVey has three backs wearing pads this spring looking to not only fill the gap but also race through it, one way or another.

Retired Sgt. 1st Class Dana Bowman lost both of his legs while in the Army. He visited Union Grove Middle School and spoke to students about facing adversity and challenges.

The Harker Heights Fire Department recently purchased new extrication tools for $34,000. HHFD firefighters gathered for training Thursday on the new spreader, cutter, arm, motor and hydraulic pump.
